Charlie Devin-Smith

Charlie serves as Managing Director and Senior Portfolio Manager and is responsible for the daily management of Alpha’s portfolios and is a member of the investment committee. Charlie has responsibility for the development of the broader multi-asset and alternative investment capabilities. Prior to joining Alpha, Charlie spent over a decade at Nikko Asset Management, where he worked alongside Andre Severino as part of the global fixed income team responsible for managing more than USD 19 billion in institutional and retail strategies. His role included active management of global rates, credit, FX, and derivative exposures across multiple jurisdictions, as well as contributing to the construction and oversight of multi-asset portfolios. Charlie’s career spans traditional and alternative investment solutions, with experience in portfolio construction, global trading, and the development of bespoke yield-enhancing strategies for institutional clients. Charlie graduated from the University of California, Berkeley with a degree in Politics and Economics and brings a global, analytical approach to investment management grounded in disciplined risk management and multi-asset expertise.
